Troubleshooting

The window is blank or the program will not start

• Confirm 64-bit Windows 10 version 2004 or later, or Windows 11.
• Install or repair Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime from Microsoft.
• Reboot and try again.

No microphone or the meter does not move

• Settings › Privacy & security › Microphone: allow desktop apps.
• Select the correct input in the recorder.
• Check the input is not muted and its level is up in Windows Sound settings.

System recording is silent

Select the playback device you are actually hearing. Bluetooth and USB headsets appear as separate devices.

A file will not open

The codec may be unsupported or the file DRM-protected. Convert it to WAV in another player and open the WAV. The first open of an unusual format needs internet to prepare FFmpeg.

I can only export WAV

That is the free edition. Register to unlock other formats.

YouTube import fails

Use Help › Update YouTube download module and retry. Some videos cannot be imported.

Problems on older Windows

Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8 are not supported by version 8.1.
